The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) confirmed the epicenter was in Mene Grande, approximately 370 miles west of Caracas, with a depth of 6.2 miles.

No Tsunami Threat

The National Tsunami Warning Center (NTWC) issued a statement confirming that no tsunami threat exists for the US East Coast, Gulf Coast, or Canadian Atlantic Provinces.

Residents are advised to stay alert for possible aftershocks and follow all safety instructions from local authorities.
