McDonald’s Revives Grinch Meal for the Holidays

McDonald is kicking off the holiday season with the return of The Grinch Meal, a limited-time bundle inspired by the iconic green character from Dr. Seuss. Available nationwide starting Tuesday, December 2, the meal mixes festive fun, collectible items and a brand-new twist on fries that has already taken social media by storm.

The collaboration with Dr. Seuss Enterprises builds on the meal’s success in Canada earlier this year. Early reactions online show fans especially excited about the new fry seasoning and quirky holiday packaging.

What Comes in McDonald’s Grinch Meal?

Customers get their choice of a classic Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, paired with medium fries upgraded into the meal’s signature feature: Dill Pickle “Grinch Salt” McShaker Fries.

These fries come with a special seasoning packet and a custom shaker bag, letting customers coat their fries with a tangy, pickle-flavored blend.

The meal also includes a medium soft drink, such as Coke or Sprite, to complete the bundle.

Every order comes with a collectible surprise — a pair of Grinch-and-McDonald’s socks in rotating colors including red, blue, yellow and green. McDonald’s USA’s Alyssa Buetikofer called the US expansion a “no-brainer,” saying the Grinch gives fans “permission to embrace their inner Grinch.”

Pricing, Availability and How to Order

The Grinch Meal will be available at participating McDonald locations across the country starting December 2, but only while supplies last. Pricing will vary by location, though customers can expect typical meal costs in the $8–$12 range.

The bundle will also be available through DoorDash, Uber Eats and the McDonald’s app.

The launch aligns with the busy holiday season, joining a lineup of festive promotions and limited-edition products that typically boost end-of-year sales. With its collectible socks and crowd-pleasing seasoning, the Grinch Meal is expected to be a popular pick among fans of McDonald and Dr. Seuss alike.
