Littleton Colorado Fire: Crews Battle South Broadway Blaze

A fire broke out Thursday at a commercial building on South Broadway in Littleton, sending heavy smoke into the air and prompting evacuations. South Metro Fire Rescue (SMFR) and the Littleton Police Department responded quickly after reports of smoke in the area.

Fire Contained, No Injuries Reported

Crews initially reported flames on the roof of a strip mall business, but later confirmed the fire was contained to a dumpster behind the store. Officials said there was no fire extension to the roof.

No injuries were reported. Multiple businesses were evacuated during the response and will remain temporarily closed while the site is secured and investigated.
