Google Keep Might Allow Users to Resize App Window on Android

Google Keep may soon include a new setting that allows users to resize the app’s window on their smartphone. This development comes only a few days after Google revealed that it will include configurable tiles that can be pinned to its Wear OS note-taking app, a feature that began rolling out as part of the most recent Android Feature Drop. The resizable Windows feature in Google Keep was purportedly discovered during an APK analysis of the Android app.

According to an Android Authority report compiled in partnership with tipster Assemble Debug, Google may soon let users to alter the size of Google Keep windows on Android. Currently, Google Keep windows can be maximized or adjusted to preset dimensions.

The ability to resize windows at will was discovered by the publication as part of an APK analysis of the Google Keep app version 5.24.222.01.90, and was enabled after “activating a flag”.

It will apparently be accessible through a new sliding pane structure that allows you to customize windows without using fixed ratios. However, not all devices may support the feature.

According to the research, devices with a pixel density of more than 600ppi may support resizable Google Keep windows. The company has not yet announced plans to add resizing capability to Google Keep for Android.

Google stated last week that the Google Keep app on Wear OS will now feature tiles. The feature was introduced at Google’s developer conference, I/O, on May 14, but its roll-out began last week.
