Charlie Kirk Assassination: FBI Releases Suspect Photos

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released the first photos of a possible suspect in the assassination of Charlie Kirk on Thursday. The federal agency asked the public to provide any information related to the “Person of Interest” in the killing of the American conservative activist and Donald Trump ally.

“We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University. 1-800-CALL-FBI,” the FBI said in a post on X.

How the Assassination Happened

Charlie Kirk was shot dead on Wednesday while addressing students at Utah Valley University in Utah. Reports indicate Kirk was speaking about gun violence when he was shot in the neck, collapsing immediately.

FBI Recovers Weapon and Crucial Evidence

The FBI confirmed that a high-powered bolt-action rifle used in the assassination was recovered from the woods near the crime scene. Officials also secured critical video footage which may help identify the suspect.

“The federal probing agency also informed about accessing a crucial video, which it believes will help them identify the attacker who is still out at large,” authorities said.

Suspect Profile

The FBI described the suspect as a college-aged individual and noted they have tracked the movements of the shooter. Investigators have collected footwear impressions, a palm print, and forearm imprints for analysis.

$100K Reward Offered

The FBI is offering up to $100,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the shooter. Citizens are encouraged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit videos and photos through the online form provided by authorities.

FBI Calls Shooting a ‘Targeted Event’

Robert Bohls, FBI Special Agent in Charge at the Salt Lake City field office, said the assassination was a targeted attack on Kirk at a college event. The suspect remains at large, and the surrounding woods have been secured.
