According to a university statement, gunshots were fired at the Casas del Rio dormitory on Redondo Drive. The injured individuals are reported to be in stable condition, as confirmed by the Associated Press.

Around 6:30 AM, the university released a statement saying, “Out of an abundance of caution, UNM has closed its Albuquerque central campus.”

“Multiple law enforcement agencies are on scene and actively investigating,” it added.
