Creed 2 Movie Review: Michael B. Jordan Deserve Oscar Love

Creed 2 movie review: Rocky's final movie delivers soulful performances by Sylvester Stallone and Michael B Jordan. Rating 4.3/5

No doubt Creed II is getting mixed reviews from the audience. But why it is so? Maybe its because it has been falsely marketed as a boxing drama – there are only two fights in the entire film, featuring the same two characters, separated by more than an hour. While some say it is far from intense, epic and emotional, in my opinion, Creed 2 is all about parenthood, legacy, honor, identity and the idea of heroism.

In the film, Michael B Jordan(Adonis Creed) faces his greatest challenge yet, when Viktor Drago(Florian Munteanu), son of Ivan Drago(Dolph Lundgren) comes knocking at his door. Ivan Drago is the man who remorselessly killed Adonis Creed’s father, Apollo Creed. Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) took care of Ivan Drago back then, beating him in his own backyard in Russia.

Creed 2 follows many of the plot points of Rocky IV, the film in which this story originally began. If you are a new viewer to Rocky series, then you need to watch Rocky IV and Creed at least to connect yourself with this movie. This movie beautifully describes what happened between Rocky, Drago and Apollo Creed hit many generations; the defects of the parents being passed down like a disease onto their children.

Creed 2 Review:

From Direction to storyline this movie is perfect from every angle. I will especially praise Steven Caple Jr. direction. He is entirely up to the mark, and after watching this movie, you will definitely agree with this fact.
