1. Cellular Jail Andaman & Nicobar

This jail reflects one of the darkest chapters in colonial rule’s history and is a silent witness of many heinous acts that British soldiers put on the villagers. In 1906, the jail was completely constructed and named as ‘Cellular’ because their cells made for each prison.

Each cell of the prison is 13.5 feet high 7 feet wide and housed one convict in solitary confinement. Without a doubt, this structure is one of the most historically famous buildings in India. Cellular Jail is a must-visit place while on the trip to Andaman.

You can visit this place between 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM and 01:30 PM to 04:45 PM every day except national holidays.

2. Diglipur Island Andaman & Nicobar

The island is mainly known for its beaches like Kalipur Beach, Ross & Smith Islands, Ramnagar Beach, and Pathi Level Beach that hosts activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and trekking.

Additionally, Diglipur happens to the largest peaks in the archipelago, which often remain thronged by the trekkers to see its unique wildlife. Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is located in Wandoor at a distance of about 29 kilometers from Port Blair in Andaman. This park is a combination of 15 untouched islands with most alluring coral reefs and marine lives in the country.

Founded in the year 1983, Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park is enriched with lush, verdant mangrove cover making it a visual delight with secluded beaches acting as the feather on the hat.
