According to rumors, the iPhone 16 series will be revealed next month. However, before the announcement, display panels for the phones are allegedly in mass production. Rumor has it that Samsung Display and LG Display will produce the OLED screens for the next iPhone series.

Apple reportedly instructed its suppliers to produce more phones than they did the year before because it anticipates a bigger demand for its devices. According to a previous report, larger batteries may be included in the iPhone 16 Pro variants.

According to a report by South Korean publication ETNews, the Cupertino-based tech giant asked its display suppliers to start the mass production of the display units. It has since been claimed that Samsung Display and LG Display have shifted to producing OLED panels full-time.

According to the report, OLED panel manufacturing started last month. This is allegedly due to Apple’s increased demand for display units. According to reports, the tech giant anticipates a rise in market demand for smartphones, probably as a result of the new Apple Intelligence capabilities.

According to reports, the company has given Samsung Display the responsibility of producing 80 million display panels this year, while LG Display will provide 43 million of the same panels. Remarkably, these two companies served as Apple’s exclusive suppliers for smartphone screens the previous year as well.

As per the publication, the major beneficiary of this increased demand will be LG Display. According to reports, the supply of it has increased by over 10 million units in comparison to the previous year.

More than thirty percent of Apple’s total display shipments are expected to be fulfilled by it. This increase followed reports that the business failed to meet the demand for the iPhone 15 series displays on time and that it had gotten delayed approval for mass manufacturing.

According to a different report, the batteries in the two iPhone 16 Pro variants may be upgraded. A 3,577mAh battery may power the iPhone 16 Pro, while a 4,676mAh battery may power the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Although Apple does not formally disclose the battery size of its devices, it is known that the 3,274mAh and 4,441mAh batteries found in the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max versions, respectively, are sufficient.
