Social Media Flooded with Complaints

The issue also sparked a wave of frustrated posts on X (formerly Twitter), where users voiced concerns over the unexpected service disruption.

“Venmo, yo, the app is down and people can’t send payments, me included. If y’all could get it fixed, that would be great.”

“Oh hey, I see @Venmo and @PayPal are down on a Friday morning. Tell me more about how we should be a cashless society tho….”

No Initial Public Statement Issued

At the time of the outage, neither PayPal nor Venmo had issued a public statement addressing the service disruption, leading to growing confusion among users.
