Little Rock Shooting: Rockefeller Early Childhood Center on Lockdown After Nearby Gunfire

The Rockefeller Early Childhood Center in Little Rock is on lockdown after reports of gunfire near the campus on Wednesday afternoon, according to local authorities.

A 911 call reporting shots fired was made at approximately 2:55 PM near 700 E 17th Street, according to the Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) call logs.

Victim Found Dead Near Scene

Authorities confirmed that a woman was found shot and unresponsive at the scene of the shooting, which occurred near 15th and Bragg Street, just around the corner from the school. Police say the victim died on the scene.

Police Presence at the School

A reporter from the scene observed police tape around the school’s parking lot, indicating heightened security measures.

Despite the visible police presence, LRPD has not released any official updates or confirmed whether the incident poses an ongoing threat to students or staff.
