iPhone SE 4 Mass Production to Begin in December: Kuo

Apple is likely to unveil the iPhone SE 4 in the first half of 2025. The rumored fourth-generation smartphone is expected to debut as a replacement to the iPhone SE (2022) and will most likely include a new look similar to Apple’s current models, such as the iPhone 14. An analyst says that production of the iPhone SE 4 will begin by the end of 2024, ahead of its introduction next year.

In a blog post, TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that Apple’s suppliers would begin mass manufacturing of the iPhone SE 4 in December. The Cupertino-based tech giant expects to manufacture around 8.6 million units of the fourth-generation iPhone SE between December 2024 and the end of the first quarter (Q1) of 2025.

Kuo previously stated that Apple plans to debut the iPhone SE 4 in Q1 2025, which is consistent with current reports of mass production. This development backs up Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s recent claim that Apple is close to releasing an upgraded iPhone SE model codenamed V59. When launched, it is expected to be the most affordable non-flagship iPhone available from Apple.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to offer significant design modifications to the non-flagship iPhone devices. Apple is expected to finally move away from the iPhone 8-like design, with the fourth-generation iPhone SE looking more like the iPhone 14. The rumored device is also believed to include Face ID and Apple Intelligence features.

The iPhone SE 4 may include a single 48-megapixel back camera. It is expected to feature a 6.06-inch screen with a refresh rate of 60Hz. The handset could be powered by Apple’s A18 chipset, with RAM options of 6GB or 8GB LPDDR5.
