Epstein Files Shock: Musk, Thiel, Bannon Mentioned

Documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate, recently handed to congressional investigators, have revealed connections between Epstein and several prominent individuals, including Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Steve Bannon. The records were provided to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee as part of an ongoing investigation.

Key Details From the Epstein Files

The committee received 8,544 documents spanning nearly three decades (1990–2019), including:

  • Flight logs and manifests
  • Daily schedules
  • Cash transaction ledgers
  • Phone message records

A notable entry shows Elon Musk with a tentative trip to Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands on December 6, 2014, accompanied by a handwritten note asking, “Is this still happening?”

Other entries highlight:

  • A lunch with Peter Thiel on November 27, 2017
  • A breakfast with Steve Bannon on February 16, 2019, just months before Epstein’s 2019 arrest on sex trafficking charges

Context and Controversy

The documents indicate that Epstein maintained some level of contact with these high-profile figures after his 2007 non-prosecution agreement, which allowed him to avoid significant prison time despite charges involving underage victims.

Sara Guerrero, spokesperson for the Oversight Democrats, said: “It should be clear to every American that Jeffrey Epstein was friends with some of the most powerful and wealthiest men in the world. Every new document produced provides new information as we work to bring justice for the survivors and victims.”

The release of the files has also drawn criticism from Republicans, who accused Democrats of selectively releasing documents for political gain. GOP officials indicated they plan to release additional files after redacting victims’ names.

Musk’s Prior Criticism of the Trump Administration

Elon Musk’s mention in the documents is notable due to his public disputes with former President Trump. Earlier this year, Musk criticized the administration for withholding Epstein-related files, asking:

“How can people be expected to have faith in Trump if he won’t release the Epstein files?”

Other Noteworthy Mentions in the Epstein Files

The records also include:

  • A tentative breakfast with Bill Gates in 2014
  • Flight manifests involving Prince Andrew, Ghislaine Maxwell, and Epstein date back to 2000
  • Financial ledgers detailing cash transactions and other activities

The files underscore how Epstein cultivated relationships with some of the wealthiest and most powerful individuals in the world.

Democrats Call for Full Release

Oversight Democrats emphasized that more documents are expected as redactions continue to protect victims. Guerrero added:

“It’s past time for Attorney General Bondi to release all the files now. Oversight Democrats will not stop until we identify everyone complicit in Epstein’s heinous crimes.”

Developing Story

These Epstein files provide new insight into the late financier’s network and ongoing investigations. More records are expected to be released as the congressional review continues, shedding light on additional high-profile connections.
