Google Pixel Watch 3 to Come in 45mm Size: Report

The Google Pixel Watch 2 is only available in a 41mm variant.

Google’s Pixel Watch models come in a single size variety, as opposed to Apple and Samsung, who produce smartwatches in many sizes. The initial Pixel Watch and the Pixel Watch 2 have a diameter of 41mm. However, the Pixel Watch 3 will apparently come in a 45mm model as well. The update follows a January story stating that the forthcoming Google Pixel Watch would be available in two sizes.

According to 9to5Google, the Google Pixel Watch 3 will finally include a wider size option in addition to the predicted 41mm model. Citing sources, the story stated that the new variation will be 45mm in size, resulting in a substantially larger watch case. While both models will likely get the same features, the larger sized watch may get a bigger battery.

Pixel Watch customers have been looking for a larger size model, as the single 41mm variant feels too small on larger wrists. Google rivals Apple and Samsung already sell smartwatches in a variety of sizes. The Apple Watch Series 9 comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes, whilst the Galaxy Watch 6 is available in 40mm and 44mm sizes.

According to 9to5Google, Google was working on Pixel Buds Pro 2 earbuds. The successor to the Pixel Buds Pro has yet to be given an official name or a release date, but the earphones have apparently been in development for some years.

There are currently no further details available concerning the Pixel Watch 3 or Pixel Buds Pro 2. A patent filing from November of last year revealed that the next edition of the Pixel Watch could include a buttonless design with gesture-detecting sensors.
