iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Design Renders Leak Online: Report

The iPhone 17 Pro might have a familiar sensor design despite having a bigger camera module.

Although the reported iPhone 17 series of smartphones is not anticipated to be released by Apple for a few more months, details regarding it have already surfaced online. According to renders, the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro, the two models in the series, will have an extended camera bar on the back panel. The leaked render of the iPhone 17 shows two rear cameras aligned horizontally, although the Pro model may have the same camera layout as the iPhone 16 Pro.

According to a render of the standard iPhone 17 model that was leaked by @MajinBuOfficial, a user on X (previously Twitter), the device may come with a redesigned rear camera layout. Instead of using the diagonal arrangement found on earlier models, Apple switched to a vertical camera layout with the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus last year.

According to the updated render, the primary and ultrawide cameras will be positioned on a camera bar that runs horizontally on both sides. On the right side, we can also notice an LED flash. Given that the render shows the phone in a white colorway and the camera bar seems dark, the bar may be the same color across all colorways.

However, a video on Jon Prosser’s FrontPageTech YouTube channel shows the rumored iPhone 17 Pro. Despite having the same long camera bar as the iPhone 17, the phone is “taller” since it has three rear cameras with a recognizable design.

The iPhone 17 Pro models in the FrontPageTech renderings have the exact same layout as the iPhone 16 Pro, in contrast to earlier renders that displayed the device with three rear cameras oriented horizontally. On the right end of the camera bar is the LED flash.

Note that the iPhone 17 series won’t be launched for several months, so it’s best to treat these leaks with caution. An ‘Air’ model is expected to be released by Apple this year in place of the iPhone 16 Plus’s replacement. In the months before their release, more information regarding these phones is likely to come to light.
