Tulsi Gabbard Claims Obama May Face Treason Charges Over Russia Collusion ‘Hoax’

Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, made significant allegations in a newly declassified report, claiming that several officials from the Obama administrationmanipulated and withheld” key intelligence regarding the possibility of Russian interference in the 2016 election. Gabbard is calling for a criminal investigation, emphasizing that those involved should face charges for “treasonous conspiracy.

Allegations of Knowledge and Accountability

Gabbard stated that the Obama administration was aware both before and after Donald Trump’s election victory that Russia did not influence the outcome through cyberattacks. “All documents will be provided to the Justice Department to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve,” she asserted.

“No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” Gabbard added.

Notable Names Mentioned

Gabbard’s memo specifically named former officials including James Clapper (former DNI), John Brennan (former CIA Director), and James Comey (former FBI Director).

According to a document from September 12, 2016, an Intelligence Community Assessment concluded that “foreign adversaries do not have and will probably not obtain the capabilities to successfully execute widespread and undetected cyber attacks.” Clapper’s office later reiterated, “Foreign adversaries did not use cyberattacks on election infrastructure to alter the US presidential election outcome. We have no evidence of cyber manipulation of election infrastructure intended to alter results.

Responses and Criticism

As these revelations emerge, Clapper, Brennan, and Comey have yet to comment on the accusations. Meanwhile, Rep. Jim Himes criticized Gabbard’s claims, stating, “Baseless accusations of treason are unfortunately par for the course for this Director of National Intelligence. That doesn’t make them any less damaging and unacceptable.” He emphasized that intelligence leaders in 2016 took an oath to the Constitution, not to the President.
