Microsoft Copilot Gets Suno Integration

The Suno plugin would enable the creation of full songs, complete with lyrics, instrumentals, and vocals, from a single sentence.

Microsoft and Suno have announced a collaboration to offer AI-powered music composition capabilities to Copilot. Microsoft Copilot users will be able to compose personalized songs using prompts thanks to the Suno plugin.

The song creation capability follows a slew of new AI-powered improvements to Microsoft Copilot. The Copilot AI companion, which was announced in September, rebrands the company’s AI services, including the Bing Chat AI chatbot, under a single banner.

Microsoft stated in a blog post published on Tuesday that the Suno plugin will allow users to make entire songs, complete with lyrics, instrumentals, and vocals, from a single sentence. Users of Copilot do not need any musical experience to begin making songs with AI assistance. Suno, according to Microsoft, will construct a full song by matching the tune to the triggers in the prompt.

To enable Suno on Microsoft Copilot, go to copilot.microsoft.com while logged in to their Microsoft account, turn on the Suno plugin, or click on the Suno logo that says “Make music with Suno.” Users can then use prompts to specify the genre and theme of the song they want to produce.

According to the blog, the Suno plugin for Microsoft Copilot has begun to roll out to some users and will be widely accessible in the coming weeks.

Microsoft unveiled new future copilot capabilities earlier this month to mark the one-year anniversary of the AI chatbot. Copilot will soon receive OpenAI’s most recent model, GPT-4 Turbo, allowing it to do more complicated and longer tasks. Copilot will also receive the new DALL-E 3 image creation model, which will allow it to create richer pictures that better reflect user prompts.

In September, Microsoft released a Windows 11 upgrade that included Copilot. In addition to incorporating the chatbot into Windows 11, Microsoft improved the MS Paint software to provide layer support and graphics production. Snipping Tool, a screenshot program, now has AI-powered functionality like text extraction and redaction.
