Apple Watch Ultra Prototype Allegedly Appears in FCC Images

The rumored Apple Watch Ultra renders show a plastic-looking Action button.

Apple’s 49mm Watch Ultra 2 was unveiled in September during the company’s Far Out event. A new Apple Watch Ultra model has supposedly been found on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) website, implying that its launch could be around the corner.

Early images of the FCC prototype reveal a tough exterior for the alleged wearable. It appears to have a black ceramic back panel. Its Action Button is designed differently than that of the Apple Watch Ultra.

An X (previously Twitter) user @ParrotSWD posted supposed renders of the Apple Watch Ultra prototype from the FCC listing. In the pictures, the wearable is seen with a black ceramic rear case and is identical to other Apple Watch Series versions.

It features a rugged exterior, however, the Action Button appears to be designed differently than the Apple Watch Ultra. The button appears to be plastic rather than metal. Apple Watch Ultra and Watch Ultra 2 both have Titanium cases.

The images do not specify which variants of the Apple Watch Ultra they represent, but the design changes suggest the introduction of a more affordable Apple Watch Ultra model.

However, we are unsure whether Apple will release a new cheap Watch Ultra with a different look. The company’s plan may be revealed soon, but until then, we’ll have to wait for other clues to emerge on the Internet.
