YouTuber Jack Doherty Arrested in Miami

YouTuber Jack Doherty was arrested in the Miami area, according to TMZ. Miami Beach Police detained him outside a local smoke shop before transporting him to Florida’s Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. He was booked shortly before 9 a.m.

Charges Include Drug Possession and Resisting Arrest

Police records show that Jack Doherty is facing three charges:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Resisting arrest

Authorities say they found him with amphetamine — a prescription medication used for conditions such as ADHD and narcolepsy — and less than 20 grams of cannabis.

Bond Set at $3,500

Doherty’s bond has been set at $3,500, but he has not yet posted it. Just hours before the arrest, the YouTuber had been livestreaming on the platform Parti and sharing footage from a yacht in Miami.

Massive Social Media Following

Jack Doherty first gained attention in 2017 after his viral videos of flipping various objects took off online. He now commands a huge online presence with more than 13 million followers across TikTok and Instagram, along with an additional 15 million subscribers on YouTube.

Previous Police Encounters in 2024

In June 2024, Davie Police responded to a swatting call at Doherty’s home in Southwest Ranches. Body camera footage showed officers entering the property and meeting his head of security. The responding team appeared to know the call was fake. According to the incident report, one officer had already seen that Doherty was actively streaming on Kick.com at the time and was not in danger.

McLaren Crash Caught on Livestream

Months later, in October 2024, Doherty crashed his $200,000 McLaren during a livestream. He appeared to be looking at his phone while driving through rainy weather when the car veered into a guardrail. The crash reportedly happened on the Florida Turnpike in Miami-Dade County.
