A major Madeira Beach fire broke out on Thursday, November 27, at the marina located at 13665 Gulf Blvd in Florida, according to local media reports. Witnesses said several boats were quickly engulfed in flames as thick smoke spread across the waterfront.

Authorities temporarily closed Gulf Blvd because fire hoses were stretched across the roadway during active firefighting operations.

Four Boats Burning; Hazmat Crews on Scene

Early updates suggested that four boats were on fire. Firefighters deployed booms around the burning vessels to contain possible environmental hazards caused by leaking fuel or debris.

Hazmat crews were also on the scene to address chemical and water contamination risks.
