Montesano Amber Alert After Feared Abduction: Two Girls Missing

Washington State Patrol has issued an AMBER Alert for two missing Montesano girls — 12-year-old Vanessa Gleave and 8-year-old Audrey Gleave — after authorities say they were taken by their mother, 40-year-old Carolyn J. Gleave, in Grays Harbor County.

The girls were last seen around 6 AM on November 18 near West Broadway Avenue in Montesano. Officials say Carolyn is currently in an “escalated state of crisis.”

Where Authorities Believe They May Be Traveling

Investigators believe Carolyn may be heading toward Deer Park in Spokane or possibly traveling out of state to Arizona, Utah, or California.

She may be driving a black 2014 Subaru Forester with Washington license plate AZB4600.

AMBER Alert Activated Tuesday Afternoon

WSP activated the AMBER Alert shortly before 2:30 PM on Tuesday. Authorities are urging the public to remain alert and report any sightings immediately.

What To Do If You Have Information

Anyone who sees the girls, Carolyn, or the suspect vehicle should call 911 immediately. Officials stress that timely information is critical in AMBER Alert cases.
