Minor Injuries, Quick Recovery
Despite the crash, Mama June confirmed her daughter avoided serious injuries.
“She was lucky… it could have been a lot worse. She was taken to the hospital, she does have back pain, she is having some headache issues, but we are headed to Denver to get her a rental car and get her set,” she added.
Staying Strong and Focused on Goals
Mama June also shared the emotional impact of the accident, highlighting the stress of receiving such news while being far from her daughter.
“When you get that phone call … your stomach drops and all you can hear is someone hollering,” she said.
Honey Boo Boo, mother to four daughters including Jessica “Chubbs” Shannon and Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efrid, is continuing to focus on her personal and professional goals despite the setback.
The Toddlers & Tiaras alum is currently pursuing a nursing degree at Regis University. Mama June revealed that Thompson’s first calls after the accident were to the police and her clinical director, as she was scheduled to start her nursing clinicals the following day.
“She is banged up a little bit but other than that she is OK [after her] first car wreck,” Mama June said.
Thompson insisted on attending her first clinical day, demonstrating her resilience even after the accident.
