On Monday, Trump Media and Technology Group launched its global TV streaming platform, Truth+, featuring the Newsmax channel to support the company’s expansion efforts. This new platform allows users to access streaming channels and on-demand video through the Truth apps available on iOS, Android, and web, as well as on connected TV platforms like Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.
The launch of the Truth+ TV streaming platform also enables the conservative news outlet Newsmax to expand its presence outside the United States. This move aligns with Trump Media’s strategy to reach a broader audience globally.
Trump Media, which also operates Truth Social, is primarily owned by former U.S. President Donald Trump. Devin Nunes, the CEO and Chairman of Trump Media, expressed enthusiasm about the platform’s launch, stating, “We’re gratified by the fast introduction of Truth+ to international markets and look forward to completing the rollout across all devices and operating systems. I’d like to thank Newsmax in particular for partnering with Trump Media for this expansion, which will bring the network’s unique programming to major new markets. There is clearly a need globally for fresh perspectives on the great issues of our day, and we’re laying the groundwork to challenge the woke news monolith with hard-hitting, non-woke reporting and commentary.”
The Truth+ apps can be easily downloaded from relevant app stores worldwide. The company began beta testing the global rollout of the Truth TV streaming platform in late June, ensuring that user feedback is collected as the rollout progresses.
In addition to operating Truth Social and the Truth+ TV streaming platform, Trump Media is also launching Truth.Fi, a financial services and FinTech brand that incorporates the President’s “America First” investment vehicles.
In news affecting the company, shares of Trump Media and Technology Group rose about 0.6% to $19.06, while Newsmax shares fell 2.6% to $14.65 in morning trading.
