Looking for a standalone smartwatch? Well, you are not alone, there was a time when I was looking for the best standalone smartwatch with sim card. For that I did a lot of research to find the perfect one and today I am going to give you the updated list of smartwatches.
Remember, there is no chance a smartwatch can completely replace a high-performing smartphone, I mean look at the screen and camera on a leading phone these days. The mobility and size of smartwatches give them certain invisibility when being used that a just phone can’t match.
If you select a standalone smartwatch with sim then there is no need of carrying both your smartwatch and smartphone with you. These devices can actually send and receive calls and SMS messages! Simply insert a SIM and enjoy the beauty of a handset in a smartwatch.
Best Standalone Smartwatches with Sim Cards
1. Apple Watch Series 5
This is the fifth iteration of the hugely successful Apple Watch Series first launched in 2015. Apple (for once) have listened to customer feedback regarding failings on the previous models, and the Series 5 sees a marked improvement in interface design, battery life, and fitness tracking.
This time it comes with 759 sq mm or 977 sq mm display area, 64-bit dual-core S5 processor which is up to 2x faster than the S3 processor. Additionally, this time it comes with a second-generation optical heart sensor.
A note of caution though. To be able to utilize the cellular data you must have an Apple iPhone 6s or later that uses the same service provider. I love this device and it’s currently the best standalone smartwatch on the market. However, it is expensive and this puts many people off.
Reviewers say: “I absolutely love this watch. I’ve always been a Samsung Note type of gal. But I recently switched over to the iPhone and I bought this watch is soon as I bought the iPhone. It’s amazing and I can’t leave the house without it.” says one buyer.
2. Samsung Watch – Gear S3 Classic LTE
Samsung Gear S3 classic(Verizon) comes with Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor, Barometer, Heart Rate Monitor, and Gyro Sensor. Additionally, this smartwatch supports Text Messaging – Heart Rate, Steps Taken, Sleep Quality.
This device has Samsung Exynos 7270 1 GHz Dual-core (2 Core) packed with 4 GB of ram. It has 768 MB Standard Memory and 1.3″ 360 x 360 screen. This device runs on Tizen os.
Reviewers say: “If you have an iPhone but aren’t thrilled with the price of the Apple Watch. This might be a good watch for you. You will get all the alerts you would get with an Apple Watch you would just have to take your phone out to reply instead of talking into your watch.” says one buyer.

3. TicWatch Pro 4G LTE Cellular Smartwatch
Ticwatch Pro 4G / LTE is probably one of the best standalone smartwatches on a budget. The only drawback is that the watch only works with Verizon. If you do not want to use this mobile operator, then you can also call and write messages, but only with the use of Bluetooth. The distance to the smartphone, in this case, will already matter.
The smartwatch has a dual-layered display. The dual-layer display features overlapping monochrome and color LCDs. The first layer is always on. It shows the time date and number of steps.
You do not need to constantly wake up the device to see this data and thanks to the black-and-white screen, it practically does not spend a charge.
The watch has a convenient interface and navigation, which resembles the use of a smartphone. Slide from top to bottom to access airplane mode, sound mode, find my phone mode, google pay, do not disturb mode and a screen lock button.
Reviewers say: “Ticwatch Pro LTE is the best I have found in that category. I can finally get through an entire day with a WearOS watch quite comfortably.” says one buyer.
4. Apple Watch Series 3
This is one of the budget-friendly options for Apple Watch Series 5. Certainly, the performance here is slower and there are some missing applications, but you can also still use your watch in water and keep track of your training via the heartrate tracker. The watch also has Siri which will become your friend and helper.
