Rockstar Games recently commemorated the 10th anniversary of GTA 5. And GTA 5 doesn’t need any introduction. This open-world action-adventure game from Rockstar Games has become the second-best-selling game of all time, only behind Minecraft. Although GTA V still has a huge fan base, it’s time for the next GTA version which has been long rumored to release soon.

In Feb 2022, a leaker known as “teapotuberhacker” posted 90 early development footage of GTA 6 on GTAForums which created a lot of buzz for GTA 6. Although the videos were shortly taken down, the rumors about the GTA 6 spread like wildfire. The leak kind of increased the hype about the next GTA sequel.

GTA 6: Leaked Info

GTA V is always praised for its large map, the huge number of activities it offers, and custom maps that users can build under the “Create” section. Although GTA V has a large map area, it lacks access to most of the buildings on the map. Users can only enter inside a limited number of buildings and the rest are just there to show the structures.

However, as per the recent leaks, GTA6’s Vice CIty could be different with a large number of buildings can be accessible by users where users also can interact. According to leaks, GTA 6 would feature supermarkets, clubs, bars, pawn shops, restaurants, as well as apartments to which players can enter. Further, users can also do in-game activities like robberies in these locations. The two protagonists, Jason and Lucia would sport “loot bags” that would allow them to steal and stash cash, gold, and more.

If this leak turns out to be true, then this will be the first time Rockstar has brought interactive buildings to its game. It is somewhat similar to Red Dead Redemption 2 where players can enter a large number of buildings and loot.

GTA 6: Release Date

After the big leak last year, Rockstar Games officially confirmed that the development of GTA 6 was underway. Further, recently a voice clip featuring Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick was leaked on X (previously known as Twitter) which indicated October 24, 2024, being a possible realise date for GTA 6. Surprisingly, that post has since been taken down which increased the speculation.

So, if that post was true then we might see GTA 6 coming out in October next year with an announcement coming out a couple of months prior.
