Samsung Galaxy S24 Series Could Launch Early Next Year

As the rumors related to Samsung’s Galaxy S24 series increase, there is now a hint about its release date. Samsung is expected to hold its next Galaxy Unpacked event in the United States next year where it is likely to reveal its new premium flagships at the event.

These premium phones will replace the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra models introduced earlier this year. There’s also additional information regarding Samsung’s new Exynos 2400 processor, which the company showcased a few weeks ago and is likely to power two Galaxy S24 variants.

According to SEDaily, Samsung will proceed with its usual US launch for its Galaxy S24 series next year. The source claims that the location of the launch event will be just an hour-long drive from Apple’s Cupertino headquarters. The source just indicates that it will be announced “early next year,” suggesting a launch in January 2024.

In certain regions, the Samsung Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ models are expected to be available with the Exynos SoC, while others may receive the latest Qualcomm silicon, which is expected to be the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Ice Universe provided a screenshot of a Geekbench test of the upcoming Galaxy S24+, which has also surfaced on the benchmarking website, indicating more data regarding the processor’s architecture. The Samsung SM-S926B scored 2,067 points in Geekbench’s single and 6,520 points in multi-core tests, respectively.

According to the results, the SoC has a deca-core architecture. Its primary Cortex-X4 processor runs at 3.21GHz. Meanwhile, two of its five Cortex-A720 performance cores are clocked at 2.9GHz, while the other three are clocked at 2.6GHz. Finally, there are four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores running at 1.95GHz each.

Leaked information on the next-generation Exynos 2500 SoC has also surfaced. According to Tipster @OreXda, the Exynos 2500 will also include a deca-core design, which differs from the octa-core architecture for the same SoC that was previously revealed.
