    Times Square Attack: Young Man Fatally Beaten, Stabbed

    A 23-year-old man died after he was beaten and stabbed during a violent attack in Times Square early Monday, according to the New York Police Department. The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m. near 49th Street and 7th Avenue.

    Police say the victim, identified by sources as Daevon Silva, was assaulted by three suspects who fled the scene and are still being sought by authorities.

    Victim Beaten With Bat and Stabbed Multiple Times

    According to investigators, Silva was first struck with a baseball bat before being stabbed several times, including wounds to his back and right thigh. Emergency crews transported him to Bellevue Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

    Officials noted that Silva had a listed address in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

    Police Release Suspect Descriptions

    Authorities have released descriptions of the three suspects involved in the deadly Times Square attack:

    • One was wearing a purple sweater and a black ski mask
    • A second man wore a black jacket, dark trousers, and brown boots
    • The third suspect was dressed entirely in black

    No arrests have been made, and investigators have not yet disclosed what may have triggered the attack.
