Elon Musk has addressed a significant Starlink outage after thousands of users reported a total blackout on Thursday. Compounding the disruption, Starlink’s official website also temporarily went offline.

Apology and Assurance from Musk

Taking to X, Musk apologized to affected users, stating, “Service will be restored shortly. Sorry for the outage. SpaceX will remedy the root cause to ensure it doesn’t happen again.”

User Experience During the Outage

Many users voiced their frustrations on social media, noting their Starlink service displayed warnings of being “restricted based on location.” One user commented, “Mine is showing restricted based on location now. I assume that is part of this outage? I am not seeing any other mentions of that.”

Official Statement from Starlink

In response to the concerns, Starlink released a statement confirming the disruption: “Starlink is currently in a network outage and we are actively implementing a solution. We appreciate your patience; we’ll share an update once this issue is resolved.”

As the situation develops, users are left waiting for a resolution to restore their internet connectivity.
