The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is scheduled to be released soon. It is expected to succeed the Galaxy S23 series, which debuted in February of this year. Soon after the release of the previous smartphones, speculations and rumors about Samsung’s upcoming flagship series began.

The next smartphone lineup, like previous ones, is expected to have three models: the standard Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. There have been numerous leaks and reports revealing critical details about the alleged models. According to a recent source, the lineup may be released sooner than planned.

According to SBS Biz, the Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on January 17 at an event in San Francisco, California. This backs with prior predictions that the series would premiere between early and mid-January.

According to the report, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S24 earlier than usual because it sees the flagship series as its “savior” product (translated from Korean) after experiencing lower-than-expected performance in its semiconductor business, as well as sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, which were announced at a Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul on July 26.

It is claimed that the move was prompted by the desire to keep up with its competitor Apple, which recently revealed its iPhone 15 series. Notably, the Galaxy S23 series was released this year on February 17, while the Galaxy S22 flagship models were released the year before on February 10, 2022. With the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, the company may be aiming to offer a stronger race to its market rivals.

According to the report, the Galaxy S23 FE model would be available in South Korea on December 1 for KRW 800,000. This would also apparently attempt to mitigate the effects of disappointing sales of the Galaxy S23 series phones, which were assumed to be a result of the country’s general economic downturn. The mid-range Fan Edition model is expected to boost sales, according to the manufacturer.
