Homemade Recipe To Make Mineral Water At Home

It would be best if you remembered the fact that mineral water is different from filtered water. Filtered water is free from dirt and bacteria while mineral water is pure and filled with minerals like magnesium, sodium, calcium and potassium. While most people argue that it’s not possible to make mineral water at home but you can do it easily.

Get Filtered Water

Get filtered water from your water purifier. Then transfer it into an open vessel. Make sure that the vessel is clean and doesn’t have any smell/odor.

Add Baking Soda

To make mineral water at home add baking soda to the purified water. Add around 1/8th teaspoon of baking soda to approximately 1 liter of purified water. Increase the amount to 1/4th of a teaspoon for 2 liters of purified water.

Baking soda/sodium bicarbonate adds sodium to water. This mineral cures certain health conditions like indigestion, constipation, bloating, heartburn, and even arthritis. This is the first step of making mineral water from filtered water.

By adding Baking soda/sodium bicarbonate you have successfully made alkaline water at home without the help of water ionizers. You can save this water in water distillers or countertop water dispensers to drink it later.

Add Epsom Salt

After you add baking soda to the water, add 1/8th teaspoon of Epsom salt to it. Epsom Salt works like a disinfectant and it keeps us safe from bacterial attacks. So, it’s better to add it to the filtered water to increase its purity.

Add Potassium Bicarbonate

Now add potassium bicarbonate to the purified water that is treated with sodium bicarbonate and Epsom salt. Potassium bicarbonate is an important mineral that maintains cardiac health and decreases the risk of heart attacks. Further, it maintains the blood pressure level. Add around 1/8th teaspoon of potassium bicarbonate to the treated purified water to make it mineral water.

Mix Well

The final step is to mix well all the ingredients you have added to the purified water. You can use a siphon to blend all the minerals in purified water. Syphon comes with a cartridge and handle. First, attach the cartridge to the siphon and pass the mixed water through the handle. You will get the completely purified mineral water from the other end of the siphon. Keep this water in mineral infusion pitchers.
