The Chinese company has stated that the upcoming OxygenOS update, based on Android 15, will have a redesigned UI, multitasking improvements, and smoother animations. The future OxygenOS update will also include support for new AI-powered capabilities.

OnePlus stated on Thursday that OxygenOS 15 will be released on October 24 during an online event. On September 25, last year, the smartphone company published its Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update, which was finished earlier this year for eligible devices.

According to the smartphone manufacturer, OxygenOS 15 will integrate multiple AI elements into various apps.

OxygenOS is available in three variants globally: India, Global/EU, and North America, depending on where the handsets were released. The OxygenOS 15 update is planned to be gradually rolled out for users in various locations over the next few months.

As with previous OxygenOS software updates, OnePlus is expected to release OxygenOS 15 to its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 12, before the update is made available to other handsets such as the OnePlus Open, OnePlus 12R, OnePlus 11, OnePlus 11R, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 10R, and OnePlus 10T.
