The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) responded Saturday to a fight in the parking lot of Sam’s Club at 1910 East Serene Avenue, near South Spencer Street.

During the altercation, shots were fired, but officers confirmed no one was injured. The scene was quickly secured and declared stable.

Authorities said the shots seemed to have been fired into the air or away from the crowd, though the exact details are still under investigation.

“Surveillance footage from Sam’s Club and nearby businesses is being reviewed to identify the shooter,” according to LVMPD.

Impact on the Community

The Sam’s Club store remained open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., but parking lot access was limited. No evacuations or lockdowns were needed, and the incident appears isolated, posing no immediate threat to the public.

Las Vegas has experienced several unrelated shootings in recent weeks, raising concerns about gun violence, per LVMPD. Past incidents include a 2017 shooting at Sam’s Town casino, a 2021 fatal shooting nearby, and a 2024 police-involved shooting at South Point Hotel.

Investigation Ongoing

Detectives are collecting evidence, processing the scene, and speaking to witnesses, per LVMPD. No suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made.

Officials advise residents to avoid the area and report any information to LVMPD. While social media posts haven’t specifically mentioned this incident, concern about local violence remains high.
