Meta-owned Instagram is one of the most widely used social media platforms used for sharing images, reels, stories. The posts you share on Instagram can be seen by your followers. Further, they can like and post comments on what you have uploaded.
Just like your followers, you can also see Instagram posts of the people whom you follow and like and comment on. The popularity of the Instagram profile depends on the likes and views that profile gains from its posts.
However, in some instances, it’s better to hide like and view counts. For this, Instagram provided its users with the option to hide like and view counts on the posts that appear in their feed. However, it can be noted that this setting is not currently available to everyone.
How To Hide And Unhide Instagram Likes And View Counts
You can change whether you see the total number of likes and views on posts that appear in the Feed. To hide or unhide like and view counts for others’ posts in the feed, the following steps can be followed:
Step 1: Tap on your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
Step 2: Tap more options in the top right.
Step 3: Tap on Settings.
Step 4: Click on Privacy and then tap on Posts.
Step 5: Tap switch off or switch on, available next to Hide like and view counts to turn this setting on or off.
How To Hide Or Unhide Like And View Counts For Posts In Feed
You can also change like and view count settings for posts you share to feed. You will still be able to see the total number of likes and views on your own posts.
To hide or unhide like and view counts before sharing your post to feed, here are the steps that can be followed:
Step 1: Before sharing a post, tap Advanced Settings at the bottom.
Step 2: Tap switch off or switch on next to Hide like and view counts for videos or Hide like counts for photos to turn this setting on or off.

How To Hide Or Unhide Like And View Count For Already Shared Post
If you want to hide or unhide the like and view count for a post you have already shared to feed, you can follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Tap on the three-dots icon available on the top right side of your post.
Step 2: Tap Hide like counts or Hide like and view counts to turn this setting on.
Step 3: Tap Unhide Like Counts or Unhide Like and view count to turn this setting off.
However, users need to note that these settings only hide like and view counts on posts in the feed. You and others on Instagram will still be able to see likes and view counts in places like the Reels tab.
