The Piper Cherokee was on a training flight when it went down along Sydney’s Northern Beaches, according to the BBC. Witnesses captured footage showing the aircraft flying low over the golf course before hitting the ground, leaving debris scattered and golfers shocked.
Injuries and Medical Treatment
Local authorities confirmed that both occupants suffered minor injuries. Manly Observer reported:
“The trainee pilot received face lacerations, while both injured persons were given first aid until the paramedics arrived.”
A NSW Ambulance spokesperson said both were taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in stable condition, according to New York Post quoting NewsWire.
