Vince Offer’s Relationships: What to Know About the Star

Vince Offer—born Offer Vince Shlomi and widely recognized as the energetic pitchman behind the “ShamWow” towel and “Slap Chop” kitchen chopper—is reentering the spotlight, this time in the political arena.

Despite past controversies involving his personal life and public scandals, the former infomercial star is now aiming for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives from Texas’s 31st Congressional District.

According to Fox News, Offer announced his congressional bid on Monday, posting several photos on his X account confirming his run for the Republican Party nomination.

With 13 candidates competing for the GOP ticket against incumbent Rep. John Carter, growing curiosity has turned toward Offer’s family history, past relationships, and the 2009 scandal that drew national attention.

Inside Vince Offer’s Marriage to Melody Claire Mandate

Marriage and Divorce

Vince Offer married Melody Claire Mandate—also known as Melody Barney—on April 18, 2014, in a private ceremony in Malibu, California. The couple welcomed a daughter soon after.

However, their marriage ended when Mandate filed for divorce in October 2018 in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.

Who Is Melody Claire Mandate?

Unlike Offer, Mandate has kept a low public profile. Her rare media appearance includes attending Hollywood Domino & Bovet 1822’s 8th Annual Pre-Oscar Gala in 2015, where she was photographed with Offer.

During the divorce proceedings, Mandate sought legal and physical custody of their then-4-year-old daughter.

Since their separation in 2017, Vince Offer has remained single and has not publicly dated anyone.

The 2009 Scandal Involving Sasha Harris

In February 2009, Vince Offer was involved in a high-profile incident in Miami Beach, Florida, that thrust him into national controversy.

He was arrested after an encounter with sex worker Sasha Harris, during which Harris allegedly bit his tongue. She claimed Offer punched her multiple times, while Offer accused her of attempting to rob him.

Both were charged with felony battery, but prosecutors dropped the case in June 2009 due to insufficient evidence.

Offer later described the night as a “12-hour drinking binge.”

Offer’s Political Ambition Faces a Crowded Field

As he steps into politics, Vince Offer brings with him the fame of his infomercial career—and the baggage of past scandals. His campaign will unfold against a competitive Republican primary already packed with contenders.
