An aircraft crashed into a building at 45 Cannongate Road in Hillsborough County, Nashua, New Hampshire, on Wednesday shortly before 2:30 p.m. The location is across Route 101A from Nashua Airport. Authorities confirmed the pilot was alone in the aircraft and was able to escape safely.
Emergency responders said there was no active fire at the scene. Light smoke was observed from the top floor of the building, which officials said may have been related to a furnace. The furnace was shut down as a precaution.

What Authorities Confirmed
City officials said the building department was called in to assess damage to the property. Emergency crews also stretched a dry line at the scene to ensure safety while inspections were underway.
Police confirmed the pilot was the only person on board at the time of the crash. The extent of the pilot’s injuries was not immediately clear.
Damage Seen at the Scene
Images from the site showed a small plane lying upside down in the snow outside a row of homes. Photos and aerial video indicated that at least one condominium building sustained damage, with the roof appearing to have been struck by the aircraft.
Authorities said the crash occurred near a residential complex, raising concerns among residents, though no other injuries were reported.

Aircraft Details and Video Footage
Officials later identified the aircraft as a twin-engine Velocity V-Twin. Video footage from the scene captured the aftermath, showing the aircraft overturned inside the apartment complex.

The footage also showed visible commotion in the area, with an individual running away from the scene and the sound of the aircraft’s propeller audible.
Investigation and FAA Response
Local authorities said the pilot was able to get out of the aircraft with help from bystanders and is receiving care from paramedics. Fire officials later said the crash occurred while the pilot was practicing takeoffs and landings.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. Officials said the inquiry remains ongoing.
