A deadly shooting rocked the Avalon Fishing Pier in Kill Devil Hills on North Carolina’s Outer Banks Thursday afternoon, leaving one person dead and three others critically injured. Law enforcement agencies responded swiftly to reports of shots being fired at the Avalon Fishing Pier, located at 2111 N Virginia Dare Trail. The pier, a well-known tourist destination in Kill Devil Hills, saw a heavy police and medical presence shortly after 2 p.m. on July 31.
