Data from Down Detector revealed that users experienced various issues:

  • 41% reported connectivity problems
  • 30% faced issues with the Alexa app
  • 28% found that Alexa’s voice control was not functioning properly

Amazon’s Response to the Outage

In response to the outage, Amazon issued a statement through the Alexa app: “We are aware that some customers are currently experiencing issues with Alexa devices,” the message stated. “We are working to resolve this as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience.
