Crop Duster Crash Prompts Emergency Response in Dover.

Emergency crews responded Tuesday afternoon after a Delaware plane crash involving a small aircraft near Chandelle Airport in Dover. According to dispatch reports, the crop duster went down in a wooded area about 400 yards northeast of the runway, close to Savanna Road.

Officials confirmed the aircraft was not carrying chemicals when it crashed.

Power Lines Knocked Down in Crash

The impact brought down power lines, prompting Delaware State Police to block off areas near Kruser Boulevard and Silver Leaf Lane. Utility crews were also dispatched to restore outages caused by the incident.

Multiple Agencies Assist at Crash Site

Several emergency units rushed to the scene, including fire companies from Leipsic, Dover Air Force Base, Cheswold, and Little Creek, along with Kent County paramedics.

Crews worked to access the wooded crash site while securing the surrounding roads. Delaware State Police confirmed they are assisting both state and federal investigators in determining the cause of the crash.

No Injuries Reported, Investigation Underway

Authorities reported no injuries, but the pilot’s condition has not been disclosed. Officials have also not released the aircraft’s registration details or ownership.

The cause of the Delaware plane crash remains unknown. Federal aviation investigators are expected to join local authorities to review the incident.
