    Michigan Tragedy: Pickup Truck Rams Van, 6 Dead

    At least six people were killed in rural Michigan after a pickup truck ran a stop sign and slammed into a van carrying members of the local Amish community, authorities confirmed.

    The tragic accident took place on Tuesday in Gilford Township, a farming area roughly 100 miles north of Detroit.

    According to the Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office, there were 13 people in the two vehicles, including 10 passengers in the van.

    “Multiple passengers were ejected from the van and the pickup,” the sheriff’s office said on Facebook. “At this time, there are 6 confirmed fatalities, and the condition of the additional patients is unknown.”

    The condition of the surviving victims is not yet known. Multiple fire departments, police agencies, medical teams, and flight crews responded to the scene. The crash remains under investigation. Officials are urging drivers to slow down and obey traffic laws.
