An 11-year-old Indonesian boy, Rayyan Arkan Dhika, has captured the attention of the internet with his viral dance video, showcasing his impressive moves on the tip of a speeding racing boat.

His energetic performance has delighted millions, inspiring renowned athletes like Travis Kelce and Alex Albon to emulate his dance steps. Rayyan’s signature moves are now celebrated as the pinnacle of “aura farming,” a term coined for effortlessly exuding charm and charisma that draws admiration.

In this context, “aura” refers to the energy or vibe an individual radiates, while “aura farming” signifies cultivating a positive, cool presence that attracts attention.

Who Is Rayyan Arkan Dhika?

Rayyan recently rose to fame for his captivating dance video during the traditional Pacu Jalur event, where he danced on a speeding boat. Born on December 28, 2014, in Kuantan Singingi, Riau, Indonesia, he is currently a class 5 student and has been dancing on boats since the age of 9. Coming from a family of Pacu Jalur athletes, Rayyan learned his dance moves through observation and practice.

In an interview with the BBC, Rayyan expressed that his viral performance was completely spontaneous: “I came up with the dance myself,” he said, emphasizing the inspiration that struck during the moment.

Exciting New Opportunities

Rayyan’s newfound popularity has opened doors for him. He was recently appointed as a cultural ambassador by the Governor of Riau, allowing him to meet with the Ministers of Culture and Tourism in Jakarta, where he even performed on national television alongside his mother.

Indonesia’s Minister of Culture, Fadli Zon, noted that dancing on the prow of a speeding canoe requires exceptional skill and balance. That’s one reason children like Rayyan are often preferred for this task, as adults may struggle to maintain stability. Meanwhile, Rayyan’s mother, Rani Ridawati, expressed her concerns about her son’s safety, fearing he might fall and collide with paddles. However, she finds reassurance in the presence of a rescue team and Rayyan’s proficiency as a strong swimmer.

Rayyan has been gaining significant traction on social media, boasting over 21,000 followers on Instagram. His popularity continues to rise as he inspires others with his joyful spirit and incredible talent.
