Police are investigating a daylight shooting in Queens after a 16-year-old boy was shot on Tuesday afternoon in the Hollis Hills neighborhood. The incident occurred shortly before 3 p.m., leaving residents shocked by the sudden violence in their usually quiet community.
Victim Rushed to Hospital in Stable Condition
According to officials, the teenager was struck in the chest and was immediately taken to Cohen Children’s Medical Center. Authorities confirmed he was alert and semi-conscious upon arrival and is now in stable condition.
Suspect Fled Toward Gas Station After Opening Fire
Investigators say the shooter was part of a group that opened fire before fleeing toward a nearby gas station.
“He opened fire and fled in the direction of a gas station,” police said.
No arrests have been made so far, and the investigation remains ongoing.
