Reports claim Hulk Hogan’s wife is preparing a medical malpractice lawsuit following the WWE legend’s death.

Hulk Hogan, the legendary WWE star, passed away on July 24 at the age of 71. Forensic reports listed the cause of death as “acute myocardial infarction,” commonly known as a heart attack. However, a new report suggests a possible legal battle ahead.

Sky Daily to Sue Over Alleged Surgical Complications

According to TMZ Sports, Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily, is reportedly planning to file a medical malpractice lawsuit in connection with his death. Sources claim the suit will target at least one of Hogan’s doctors and focus on a neck operation performed in May.

Sky allegedly believes Hogan’s phrenic nerve, which controls breathing, was compromised during the procedure. These complications are suspected to have contributed to his death.

911 Call Raises Questions About Cause of Death

In a 911 call made by Sky, she reportedly said, “My husband’s not breathing. He just stopped breathing.”

TMZ Sports reports that the 911 call suggested Hogan’s passing was not a sudden heart attack but rather a respiratory failure.

LoudFact (loudfact.com) has not independently verified these claims.

Therapist’s Claims Mirror Allegations

Hogan’s therapist previously raised similar concerns, telling TMZ Sports that during a recent surgery—possibly related to his heart or neck—the surgeon allegedly “severed” Hogan’s phrenic nerve.

Private Autopsy and Ongoing Police Investigation

Sky Daily reportedly ordered a private autopsy as part of her effort to investigate potential medical malpractice. Meanwhile, Clearwater Police confirmed they are continuing their investigation.

In an earlier statement to TMZ Sports, the department said:

“We have been in communication with family members — including his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke. The unique nature of this case has required us to interview multiple witnesses and seek medical records from a variety of providers, and our detectives continue to do that. All of this takes time. The Hogan family has been appreciative of our efforts and our communication with them.”
