A tornado warning remains active for Antrim County until 6:45 PM EDT. Residents in the affected areas are urged to take shelter immediately.

Video shared by local residents shows the tornado moving across Torch Lake and continuing eastward toward Bellaire. One observer said:
“Speechless. Unreal tornado just occurred on Torch Lake in Michigan. I was watching the webcam when it initially touched down lofting tree debris and quickly called the NWS in Gaylord. Hats off to them for getting the warning out in record time!”
Severe Weather Alerts Across Northern Michigan
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a new Severe Thunderstorm Warning for northern Michigan. The storm system is capable of producing additional tornadoes and hail up to half-dollar size.
Authorities emphasize: “If you are in this warning seek shelter now inside a sturdy building.”
Residents are advised to stay indoors and avoid traveling until the storm system passes.
