A Hudson Link Bus caught fire on the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge on Friday, prompting lane closures and major delays, according to New York State Police.

Fire Reported on Southbound Lane
State troopers confirmed that the incident occurred on the southbound lane near mile post marker 15.9, causing significant traffic disruption during the afternoon commute. Officials initially reported the fire near mile marker 15.3 on the Rockland County side of the bridge.
Lane Closures on I-87

The right and center lanes of I-87 on the New York State Thruway, just before Exit 10 for South Nyack (U.S. 9W), have been shut down following the fire.
Two left lanes remain open, allowing traffic to pass through, but drivers are experiencing delays.
No Injuries Reported
According to state troopers, no other vehicles were involved in the incident. All passengers were able to safely exit the bus before the fire spread, and no injuries were reported.
