Coca-Cola Issues Recall: Full List of Affected Products

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has issued a recall of select Coca-Cola, Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, and Sprite 12oz cans distributed in Texas due to potential metal contamination. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classified the recall as Class II, indicating that the affected products could cause temporary or medically reversible health issues, though serious consequences are unlikely.

The recall, initiated on October 3, covers more than 4,000 soda cans. Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, a division of Arca Continental, serves Texas, as well as parts of Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Arkansas. Currently, only products distributed in Texas are included in the recall.

Health Risks and Safety Precautions

The FDA’s Class II classification indicates that consuming the recalled sodas could lead to temporary health effects, which are generally reversible. Serious health consequences are considered unlikely.

Consumers are advised not to drink any of the affected products. While Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages has not issued a formal press release regarding the recall, customers should take precautions and avoid consumption of the impacted cans.
