Tony Germano, a celebrated Brazilian stage and voice actor whose work appeared across Netflix, Disney and Nickelodeon, has died at the age of 55 after a fatal fall from the roof of his newly purchased home in São Paulo. Local reports say he slipped while inspecting repair work on Wednesday. Emergency responders were unable to revive him.

Germano had recently moved into the home and was preparing for a fresh chapter in his life. Jam Press reported he visited his sister the night before and appeared optimistic about the future. His sudden death has sparked tributes from across Brazil’s theatre, film and voice-acting communities.

Germano’s career spanned more than 30 years, with standout work in both voice acting and musical theatre.

Director Matheus Marchett paid tribute on Instagram, calling Germano “a generous, talented and captivating soul” and describing his presence as a rare gift.

A representative confirmed his death in a statement to People: “It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of actor and voice artist Tony Germano… Tony suffered a fall at his residence and, unfortunately, did not survive his injuries.”

The statement added that he leaves behind “a legacy of dedication, generosity and immense talent.”

Funeral and Final Days

Germano, who lived alone and had no children, was memorialized at Bosque da Paz Cemetery in Vargem Grande Paulista on Thursday, November 27. Reports say he spent the night before the accident with his sister and was excited about settling into his new home.
