The affected products include corn dogs sold under the State Fair brand and pancakes and sausages on a stick sold under the Jimmy Dean brand.

Tyson Foods Issues Voluntary Recall

The Hillshire Brand Company, a subsidiary of Tyson Foods, announced a voluntary recall on September 27 for over two dozen frozen products, according to the U.S. Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

In a statement, Tyson Foods said it issued the recall “out of an abundance of caution” and confirmed that no other State Fair or Jimmy Dean products are impacted.

According to the recall notice, the contaminated products were distributed nationwide through:

  • Online retailers
  • Grocery stores

The recall was triggered after multiple complaints surfaced. The notice states that the affected products may contain pieces of wood embedded in the batter.
