Jalen Brown Suffers Leg Injury in Arkansas Game

Arkansas wide receiver Jalen Brown suffered a serious leg injury during the third quarter of the Razorbacks’ game against Notre Dame on Saturday, Sept. 27. The sophomore was immediately carted off the field and taken to a local hospital for treatment.

How the Injury Happened

Brown was targeted in the end zone by quarterback Taylen Green when the pass was broken up. On the play, Brown’s left leg bent awkwardly after contact with a Notre Dame defender, resulting in a severe injury.

Medical personnel quickly fitted Brown with an air cast before taking him off the field. According to Yahoo Sports, the injury appeared gruesome, and the exact severity is still being assessed.

Emotional Moment on the Field

As Brown lay on the ground, his teammates gathered around to offer support. Fans at Razorback Stadium gave him a standing ovation while he was wheeled away.

Sideline reporter Taylor McGregor described the scene: “All of his teammates came over, and the message was the same: ‘We love you, JB. We’re here for you, JB.’”

Brown’s Performance and Background

Before the injury, Jalen Brown had one reception for 11 yards in the game. Entering Week 5, he had recorded 11 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns in Arkansas’ first four games.

Injury Update

Arkansas coach Sam Pittman confirmed the injury was severe: Brown suffered a broken tibia and fibula on the play.

The Razorbacks’ talented sophomore is now facing an uncertain recovery, and his return for the remainder of the 2025 season is unclear.
