Xbox Network users reported major disruptions on Saturday, November 29, with many unable to access Xbox Cloud Gaming and related online services.
Outage-tracking platform Downdetector showed 615 reports, mostly involving server connection failures. Users flooded comment sections and social platforms with complaints as the issues grew.
One frustrated gamer wrote: “And Xbox support is no help what so ever… they legit said ‘I don’t see a problem on our end.’ NO IT ISNT.”
As of now, Xbox Support has not released any official update regarding the outage.
What the 403 Forbidden and 502 Bad Gateway Errors Mean
403 Forbidden Error Explained
A 403 Forbidden error means the server understands your request but refuses to authorize access, typically due to permission issues.
Basic troubleshooting steps include:
- Refreshing the page
- Double-checking the URL
- Clearing browser cache and cookies
- Reviewing VPN or proxy settings
502 Bad Gateway Error Explained
A 502 Bad Gateway error signals a communication failure between servers, which often happens during system-wide outages.
Possible fixes include:
- Restarting router or network equipment
- Flushing DNS cache
- Clearing cookies and cache
- Refreshing the page
However, since the problems appear to be on Xbox’s end, these steps may not resolve the issue for most users.
Users Still Await Official Xbox Update
The Xbox Network outage is still ongoing for many players, with cloud gaming and website functions continuing to show errors. Until Xbox Support issues a formal statement, users may need to wait for backend fixes.
